How to use Self-Service function

When testing payments in the Payrix Sandbox environment, you have the ability to run the debit process and settlement process immediately. You can also reset the time limit on the 'GET Search for transaction status changes” API call for testing purposes.


Run Debit / Settlement Process

To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the Sandbox account

  2. On the home page, select ‘Click Here’

  3. Scroll down to “PROCESS RUNS” heading.

  4. If you have scheduled debits set up for the day, click ‘Run Debit Process’ and it will run the debit process for the debits scheduled. This will run and be completed within 5 - 10 minutes.

  5. If you wish to run the settlement process, ensure to select a date 2 business days forward.

    1. example: If the process date = Monday 1 January, adjust the date to Wednesday 3 January.

    2. This will run and be completed within 5 - 10 minutes.


Reset ‘GET Search for transaction status changes’ API

To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the Sandbox account

  2. On the home page, select ‘Click Here’

  3. Scroll down to “RESET STATUS UPDATES API” heading.

  4. Click “Reset Time Limit”

  5. The 'GET Search for transaction status changes” API call will be reset and available for use once again.

  6. You can continuously reset this time limit within the Sandbox environment.

PLEASE NOTE in Production: This function will only allow you to retrieve your transaction results once per hour. It can return up to 1000 transactions per call - once all your waiting transaction results have been returned, or the function returns the same results due to not acknowledging the previous transactions you downloaded, you will need to wait an hour until you can retrieve any results from the function again.
